As I spent a week in Paris this summer, I got to experience the entire spectrum of Eiffel Tour’s appearance, on and after rain or at dusk, but the most beautiful moments were always at night, when the play of lights would scatter shiny lights over Paris. This is when I would record these beautiful living stills that would take my photographic Parisian experience to other level.
I really wanted to have this aura of the Parisian chic simplicity and timeless beauty reflected in my wedding accessories too. And this is why my mother introduced me to the very delicate and sophisticated haute couture jewelry designed in Paris by Cécile Boccara. I just fell in love with this luminous rose gold tiara that I knew it had to discretely shine on my head on my wedding day.
Decorated with Swarovski crystals, this fine gilded tiara is absolutely to die for. The way the light is reflected off the crystals reminds me so well of the Eiffel Tour’s projections of light over Paris. Not only that this tiara is very versatile in design and ways to wear it, but it also looks so confidently feminine and modern. This art jewelry piece is something to wear again and again, and feel like wrapped in a special aura. It almost feels like the sun light and the Parisian style have been sealed into the discreet glitter of this delicate adornment.
To photographically explore the delicacy of this tiara, I used as contrast the intricacy and fragility of natural elements. Here, glittery cave and river rocks get juxtaposed with plants and moss to create a beautiful tension between the naturalness of both the organic and constructed elements of this precious piece of jewelry. More of my Parisian experience here, and here.
