Happy holidays to everyone! This winter I am offering you the best issue of What Liberty Ate magazine, wrapped in wonderful creations for your delight. I am beyond happiness to be able to publish another issue of my magazine due to the immense amount of work that’s going inside. In parallel with my studies at SCAD I was working on finalizing the fall/winter issue and I feel so proud to have the strength, passion and determination to work on this great project. Our team is still small, many have came and left. For this issue, as always, I worked on the design, from the beautiful minimalist pattern creation, typography and layout to photography, styling, translation, recipe writing, interviewing and coordinating the contributors.
In this issue you’ll find not only great recipes and photography, but also great stories – either textual or photographic. One of the original contributors to WLA, Ana is tempting you with roasted seafood perfect for Christmas, New Year or any family gatherings. I have to thank Ana for being always prompt to work together and being close from the very beginning. The very popular skin care line of Adina Grigore – S. W. Basics – which has conquered United States market and not only, has given me an exclusive interview on how her products are created, why is important to use sustainable ingredients in beauty care products, and how cosmetics affect our skin. If she’s Goop’s favorite, for sure it’s worth it! While browsing the magazine, you will discover many recipes for fall or winter, great savory dishes or festive cakes, but also a take on spirituality through Hallowed Self-Will self-directed project at SCAD and you’ll understand more about divinity, sacred and art all-together.But not least, I’ve prepared also a thoughtful film to highlight the spirit of this new issue!
