This is a traditional Romanian soup which I adore. Was my favorite in my childhood and is still my favorite now. No matter which season is, I always eat this soup with pleasure. It’s a delicious soup, mainly because of the lovage and thyme used. But also for the pickled cabbage juice that I love using for this soup.
As it is traditional, the soup has not so many variations, but it can be made also using borsch which has similar taste with the pickled cabbage juice. You can eat this soup at dinner, because is light and you’ll feel full just with the taste of a spoon. Also, is perfect for winter time when you need a lot of warm liquids. Enjoy!
