Tandoori Tikka Chicken

I remember that I have ate Indian food few years back, good food, but spicy like hell. Since then, I ate Chinese, Italian, Spanish or French food, but Indian not so often as I wanted. So long story short, 2 days ago, after my long exams were finally over, I really wanted to try the amazing, not so hot, tandoori tikka chicken.

What you should know about this dish : it’s moderately hot, it’s cooked on skewers in a special oven called tandoori, and it’s usually eaten with  green coriander and tamarind chutney, served with onion rings and lemons. I didn’t had all the ingredients for this special sauce, so I ate it with curry rice with my tiny chopsticks.

For Tandoori mix you’ll need :
– 1 teaspoon of ginger;
– 1 teaspoon of ground paprika;
– 1/4 teaspoon of coriander;
– 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli;
– 1 tablespoon of sesame oil or olive oil;
– 1 teaspoon of vinegar.
Other ingredients :
– 450 gr skinless boneless chicken cut into 2 cm cubes;
– 60 ml yogurt.

Directions :

I marinate the chicken with 60 ml yogurt and the tandoori mix, for at least one hour. The chicken will have a bright nice red color. Cook the chicken at high temperature in the oven or on the grill (10-12 minutes). That’s it! So easy! enjoy it!
