Pizza – two ways

Because everybody loves pizza, and because it’s easy to make almost for any event, for our party with our friends from Brno, it was perfect. We started with a tarte flambée, and we continued with artichoke pizza, mozzarella and sweet red pepper.

For tarte flambée you’ll need :

– 1 puffy pastry very thin;
– 250 gr sour cream;
– 70 gr ricotta cheese;
– 1 medium onion;
– 250 gr bacon;
– 1 tablespoon olive oil;
– salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Marinate the dice onion with the bacon, salt, pepper and oregano in the olive oil for one hour. Preheat the oven at 170°C, spread on the dough the sour cream mixed with the ricotta cheese, and then add the mixture of bacon and onion. Don’t forget that the secret of this tart it’s the onion, which must to enough strong when tasting. Bake it for 20 minutes, or until the onion is turning golden brown. Eat it when is still warm.

For the artichoke pizza you’ll need :

– 1 pizza dough;
– 1 tin of preserved artichoke or fresh artichoke;
– 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce;
– 1 red sweet pepper;
– some tomato cherries diced in half;
– 1 mozzarella;
– salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Spread the dough in a round or rectangular tray. Spread then the tomato sauce generously (when baking it will be absorbed by the dough), then add the artichokes, the tomato cherries halved, the red sweet pepper and mozzarella. Bake for 15-20 minutes and lap up with a glass of red wine.
